This is the games industry folks, subs and sequels all the way. its shit. why do we keep seeing ww2 shooters upon ww2 shooters? coz they sell.

Given that competitor analysis is an essential component of corporate strategy - just imagine how many great game designs have turned up on publishers desks and promptly put through the shredder coz the numbers dont stack up in todays market.

We all know this ofcourse, we know it, they know it, we know that they know it, but Bobby Cockstick aint supposed to admit that they know it lol.
