Core Gaming announces re-launch of COD4 line-up
After months of searching for a suitable team and admittedly a few mishaps on the way, we are extremely proud to announce our very promising new team previously playing under the name of Edge Gaming, our new Core Gaming by DediFrag.com COD4 team!
With an experienced and stable lineup currently playing at academy level, the team is looking to improve steadily over the months ahead, focusing on improving their standing in the channel, participating in numerous online cups and leagues along the way. Taking advantage of their switch to Core to bring an important roster change into place, the line-up is looking to go from strength to strength under Core Gaming's flag, and we're extremely excited to have them coming onboard! Core Gaming is extremely proud to be bringing a team of such potential on-board to join our recently signed CS 1.6 team, and is looking forward to some fantastic results in the future. Core Gaming by DediFrag.com COD4 Lineup:  Anthony "zontix" Baker - Manager Charlie "welch" Welch - Manager Zack "Unijoux" Lloyd Ryan "dREDz" Buckley Ewan "pMERE" ToranWe caught up with Zontix and Welch, the team's captains, and got their thoughts on joining Core, and what they want to achieve in the future: Anthony "zontix" Baker: "First of all I would like to thank French for picking us up, I'm thrilled to be able to play under the name of Core Gaming. My team is determined to progress and make 2011 our year of getting noticed in the cod scene by winning achievements both on and off-line. As a team we are glad to be part of this organisation and will hopefully be attending 3-4 LANs this year. You'll see us active in leagues such as ESL, Clanbase & Enemy Down, and participating in Online Cups too. I would like to say once again, thanks to French for choosing us and thanks for DediFrag.com for providing us a server which I personally think is one of the best in Europe." Charlie "welch" Welch: "I am ecstatic that Core Gaming have decided to pick us up, and hope that we stay with Core for the foreseeable future. We hope to gain access to the cod.preinvite channel in the future and hope that if we come in the top 8 in the upcoming i-series lan event, we can boost our chances of being accepted. We hope to reach the top 50 in CB and push in ESL, hopefully entering the ESL pro series. I would also like to take the time to thank Dedifrag for their awesome server which I still believe has the best registry I've ever seen and could challenge and best of server companies! Thanks, we look forward to doing our bit to increasing Core Gaming's recognition in the COD4 scene.  "
