Almost since its inception, the Core Gaming administrative team has been quietly seeking out a third and final admin to fortify its ranks, and spread the workload a bit more.
We're extremely proud to announce, that after 3 years the right person for the job is finally here, and he goes by the name of John "KNI9HT" Girgis. Captain of our Combat Arms team, John has been an integral ingredient to the team's success over the years, and has proved time and time again his administrative and managerial prowess.
With both John and Nate able to focus on running and improving Core Gaming's North American activities, we fully expect to free up more time for me to deal with our European operations in the future. We see this as a fantastic opportunity to build for Core's future, from the foundations of a rock-solid and competent administrative team.
I caught up with John to get his opinion on his new role, Core Gaming's future, and what he thinks he can bring to the organisation:
John "KNI9HT" Girgis: "First of all, I'd like to thank Core Gaming, as a whole, for the opportunity, and trust that go into promoting a member into such an esteemed position within the clan. I'd also like to add that it is nothing less than an absolute honor to become such an integral part of something I love, and help it improve even further within the years to come.
I've been in the organization for about a year and a half now, getting to know the entire team both as a player and as a team Captain (for the Combat Arms division) and in this time it's been a blast between getting to know the other members, and keeping up with what, as my newly found co-administrator French would call them, "The demands of a modern day gaming organization [are]." By this point in time, I can, with absolute certainty say that it's been one of the most motivating and entertaining experiences that I've had the pleasure of coming across in the gaming world, entire.
That said, I would like to mention that I see Core Gaming is moving into the future with no holds barred, and improving on what many would argue is already a stellar foundation in gaming history and in administrative prowess. In the future, I see the team as an incredibly successful and stable one across a board of highly competitive games, combining ace, like-minded players together to share their love for games, while feeding their obsessive compulsive need for success and achievements. Gaming is a lot of things, it can be fun, it can be relaxing, but here at Core Gaming I've always been fond of the fact that without accolades sitting in a team's trophy box, it is the general consensus that the team is yet to experience all that a game can provide; and that's half the experience. As such, I see myself leading Core into an era where competition is a priority, and playing highly competitive games will be a must.
My vision not only entails successful teams spanning from old games to new, from team games, and co-operative ones where the team's true core gets to shine, to solo games where we establish that individual skills are also a highlight of modern games. My vision is also to build a respectable, honest team that provides the competition with twice as much honor and respect, regardless of the outcome, as they do in gaming challenge. I want to see Core mature into a clan that is both revered by its adversaries, and favored to make its mark in any game they set foot in (chess included, French).
When French originally approached me with his idea, I was hesitant, considering I didn't know if I would have ample time attending administrative duties. However, the more I put some thought in it, the more I realized that Core Gaming won't just be led by three individuals, but as a team united. Ranging from members, some being Captains, as well, like Hojune "Vkhoj" Chung, to Chris "WAR" Parker, I could tell that Core was a team of like-minded individuals, who are not simply gamers, but also leaders at heart, which I deem as necessary for any clan to survive. On that note, I'd like to end my speech; by mentioning that I don't see myself as an authority, but yet another member in the clan, helping it to improve and prosper in my own way, with my own visions.
Thank you for your time, French, and again, thanks for the opportunity, Core Gaming. May we have a stellar future together."
