EDIT: By the way, you all know me. I chose the sniper class. At first I hated it, it was a very buggy system, you have to hold down the scope like iron sights, otherwise it fades away. An hour later and I'm perfectly used to it, it actually helps in quick scoping, no need to quick switch any longer. I'm hating the fact that all the snipers seem to have a bad rate of fire. I've only tried one sniper at 0.9 so far, and it was almost a decent speed, I'm guessing at 1.2-1.3 I should be fine.

Fun, yes. But competitive Borderlands would be rife with cheating because all the character data is stored client-side. Unless, they implemented some sort of system comparable to Blizzard's Battle.Net. Then again, 2K proved with Borderlands that they can't make a multiplayer system. A multiplayer
game, yes, but one with a multiplayer lobby system that allows people to play together without causing most of their playerbase to go "fuck it!" and download GameRanger instead? Nope. Though, with Borderlands, they did learn two valuable lessons.
One: Don't use Gamespy architecture to craft your multiplayer experience.
and
Two: Do you really expect people to continue playing a game past playthrough 1 when they know it has NO DISCERNABLE ENDING WHATSOEVER?
