L4D2 is an expansion that we're being made to pay even though we were promised (and trusted Valve to deliver it from their reputation) it would be free.

Them adding in new content for L4D1 is going to be half-baked, and totally meaningless if there's already a sequel for it, so why continue to support an inferior version of the game.

rofl whatever valve do they cant win. if they take a few years to make an amazing game the fans bitch that it takes to long to make. if they release a good game then the squeal the next year the fans bitch even though they dont know enuf about the new game to call it an expansion. im pissed with valve because i want them to stop making shitty zombie games and finish hl2epp3 and hl3 (best single player games evah

Episode 3's been on the agenda for ages now, hasn't it?

The main thing with L4D was that valve pretty much promised that new content would be released for it. Kind of like the constant upgrades for TF2. But instead of releasing updates for content they're releasing a completely new game, which they apparently started working on immediately after the first game was released. Unless L4D1 owners get a decent subsidy on the new game there will be a fair few disillusioned steam users out there.

Do you honestly believe that they'll release new content for a game for the which the direct sequel is for sale? That would be like treyarch releasing a new Call of Duty 2 map pack today. It's unlikely to say the least.

That would make even less sense since Treyarch didn't even make CoD2 -.-

For the last time, Infinity Ward made CoD1, CoD2, CoD4 and the upcoming MW2. Treyarch made CoD3 and CoDWaW.
