It takes like 8 minutes to learn how to print 'Hello World' in any kind of practical language. Doesn't mean you understand the functions, commands or whatever key names are present in the language.
Learning the architecture, syntax and memorizing the basics of languages is much more fun than just finding out how to make a simple tetris game.
Basic languages like html, css, and javascript I know, but haven't used in like forever. And I know actionscript well enough to actually use it for any kind of project. Though I hate using AS, it fails. I also know MSL but it's redundant to learn that language unless you're actually going to be creating bots that haven't already been created and just copy and paste the code into your own alias/remote, lol.
I'm thinking of watching some lectures from the Universities online and then start hacking away at php through-out the summer and try to create some phpbb3 compatible mods.
