I like how the UK winner had one less lucky star than the jackpot winner. I guess thats one god dam lucky start then.
I mean the difference in prize money is unreal. The jackpot winner (5 numbers and 2 lucky stars) recieves £110,000,000 whereas the UK guy who got 5 numbers and one lucky star gets £244,317.60. I'm sorry, but those figures just don't add up. He got 0.222% (1/450) of what the winner got for one less star. When looking up the odds:
5 numbers and 2 lucky stars: 1 in 76,275,360
5 numbers and 1 luck star: 1 in 5,448,240
When dividing these numbers you find that u get a ratio of 0.0714 (1/14); meaning that its 14 times easier to get 5 numbers and 1 lucky star than it is to get 5 numbers and 2 lucky stars. So how does that justify a diffenece in prizemoney of 0.222% which means the guy who comes second (5 numbers and 1 luck star) gets 450 times less than the guy who comes first, even though its only 14 times harder to win the jackpot.
If that was me, despite winning loads of money, i think i'd still be a bit gutted.
I was so sure that money was mine aswell
