Default Politics anyone?

I was thinking that we havent had a thread about politics and global issues for a long time, so i went on the bbc website to find sumin to discuss (for those who are interested, prob just french then ) and suprise suprise, the government make another balls up.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/8039108.stm

Omg, are these politicians serious. Not only has all the bull come out about most of them them having two homes, but now, even the pm, is using taxpayers money to get his fucking house cleaned. Last time i checked he was earning £100k+ , but he stills needs to use good hard honest tax money to get his house cleaned. Most of us have to deal with cleaning ourselfs, but not the politicians, i forgot they 'represented' the common people, so i guess its resonable for them to be treated like kings.
Anyways, bit of a pointless moan, but its the top story on the bbc website, so it must be big news. Plus i like moaning at those twats.

My fav quote:

"I think if people have made claims in good faith under a system that existed at the time then I don't think there's any reason for resignations, but there is reason to tighten up the system."

'Claims in good faith' - lmao, classic mp lingo. All she had to say was claims, but by saying claims in good faith, she somehow makes the pm (and whoever else has done it) not look quite as bad.

'but there is reason to tighten up the system' - O rly? I wonder why it was soo loose in the first place, hmmmmm?? I mean these guys do write the system after all don't they. Mp's just reaking as many benefits as they can outa the so-called 'system'. Pile of bull.

I am fast going off the idea of living and paying tax in a country whos government is completely incapable of spending money wisely. They tax us too much, they waste too much, but hey, at least they all have two houses and get the cleaning done for free. Who am i to bitch and whine.

Next week - the credit crunch (and you thought this was bitching ) lol

actually, frankly, I don't see much to add here.

I mean, when talking about the present government i frequently defend what they've done to quite a few people. Sure they fucked up BIG time, continuing borrowing while the economy was good and EVERY other country was paying back its national debts, but at the end of the day they did it, and seemed for a good few months to have made up for it by drastically reducing the impacts of a MASSIVE recession in the UK for a good few months, to the degree that our housing market is already showing signs of recovery.

I've been impressed with the way they handled the recession, ploughing money into the economy which essentially helped it a hell of a lot more than it would have done to just sit by. That said, it was pretty damned short-termist of them, seeing as now every new-born child in the UK will be born with £20000 worth of debt before they ever even learn what money is... That's Gordon's fault. Well, that and a nigh-on guaranteed inflationary period for the next 5-10 years which will come soon

On top of that, sure they may have plunged £££££££££££££££££££ into the economy, but someone (not sure who) raised a fairly elemental point to me earlier : "Don't spend what you don't have".

Then, when you add in the fact that they're continually defending the black hole of our taxes, their paychecks & fringe benefits, really I'm quite happy to go along with the idea that our government is a complete pile of shit. I'd say I'm about of the same opinion as most UK citizens now, when you note that forecasts for the EU voting scheduled in England soon show Conservatives, Liberal Democrats AND UKIP, all looking to come in before labour... Frankly I'm not sure how long that government will last, and the only reason they're still in power is their shitness does nothing to change the fact that David Cameron's a fucking tool.

True, but Gordon Brown isn't much better.

Both the dominaint parties in the UK currently have idiots for leaders (good representation of mp's in general imo, considering they vote them in, lol), but that doesnt stop the fact that the two parties have fundamental differences in policy. I just wonder how the conservatives would of handled this crisis. I would like to believe they would have done a better job, but tbh they are still politicians and all politicians in this country seem to be incapable of telling the truth and acting in ways that has the 'whole' countries interests at heart.
Frankly, until there is someone worth voting for i can honestly say i wont vote at all. Too many people vote for who they think is best out of the parties. It's like aww, im gona vote for them cause i dont like the other guy, when rly it shld be, im gona vote for that guy cz hes the best and i agree with everything he says. Its complete shit if u ask me.
Frankly when they are all shit anyway, it doesnt rly make a difference who gets in cause at the end of the day they are just gona fuck it all up.
The only clear solution is to vote me into power as i believe i have more common sense and brains than all those dicks at westminster put together.....and thats saying sumin (plus i want 2 homes with free cleaning )
