Microphone Problems

Hey all,

I was having problems with my mic last night and I was fiddling about with it, pressing buttons checking settings all that stuff.

Then finally i reached around the back of my pc, pulled out the cable to see and it fell to the floor as i picked it up i found to my utmost horror.. this:

Yehh.. so I'm gonna be without a mic until I get paid, which is Friday woop! But I have a lot of bills to pay so we'll have to see... =D

Fuck knows, I think the cable must have got trapped under my base unit, maybe i pulled it out messing aroundf with stuff then probably pushed it back in the space it goes trapping the cable. Then with my brute strength TORE THE CABLE IN HALF!!!

Pretty clean cut, but looking at the plastic outer closely you can see it had been stretched =(

I loved that pointles headset, the headphones didnt work it was clumsy, huge.. but it was awesome lol. =(

lol... Great music. Too bad about the mic.

But if you didn't throw away that part of the chord, I think I know how to make a temporary fix... Just take the out sticking metallic part, cut open the other loose end of the cable so you can see some metallic stuff and then tape the two metallic chords together. May work for a short while.

Yeh I was thinking about that last night, I might try soldering the wires back togetehre theres only two of them so it can't be too hard!

Oh and yeh the music was sneakly embedding in a youtube video which is that small line under the picture. Then i added a "&autoplay=1" to the code and it starts automatically =D

I was suprised you could do it actually but i managed it it woop! =D
