Since I have a break from WOGL I have some extra time
if anyone wants to get a clip made for them and put on our/cG's youtube channel hit me up:

Any game is accepted long as it's pre-recorded at a good frame rate (50+) [Use FRAPS to record if you don't know any programs, it's really good]
If you have source/1.6/cz frags then just send me demos

If not I'll just waste time editing my friend snukums' ESEA source frags

I don't know about other games, but for CF FRAPS works amazingly.
For CS I'm using a console
And for all other games I don't care what program you use to record....long as it's recorded smoothly.

Fraps works fine for CoD4, thanks to the demo-related commands. Don't record your "live" play. Just record a playback of the demo instead.

You should never use fraps for COD, cod has it's own movie recording mod, use that instead, fraps records every bit of frame loss that you get whilst recording.

All source games come with an in built source recorder, you can record with 240 fps and do it all properly with sparkling graphics and HD, something fraps cannot do.

Yes, CoD4Player. The laggiest, most incomprehensible piece of shit imaginable. I'd take the FPS hit rather than arse about with something that fucks up configs.

Back in the days (wow, i feel old...) when we needed ingame material for reviews, we used Fraps as well. IMO it's still the best choice, unless the game itself provides a way to export uncompressed avi's.
