Black Ops Midnight Release

The Best Buy 2 hours away from me is having a midnight release party type thing. I'm going to get it then for the 360.

Anyone else getting it for the xbox?

Not sure if I'm gonna get this one. Played it on 360 at a gaming con yesterday. It's Call of Duty and that's all there is to it... I've played a few of those

But it does have dedicated servers, so I won't shun it completely like I did to MW2.

As I said in an earlier thread, I'll be trying out the PC version if I get a chance (i.e - borrowing it from my brother and poking around) before I put money down on my own copy. While Black Ops does have dedicated servers, I'm VERY wary about it, due to the two-pronged problem that is the MW2 debacle and the fact that Treyarch is doing this one.

Though, from videos and such, it doesn't look like they're distancing from MW2 very much. Still seems overloaded with killstreaks. Then again, with dedicated servers, there'll hopefully be a modding community that can pull something out of their bag of tricks.

It seems good fun, not sure how amazing it'll be competitively though. The stuff they've done to sniping is absolutely retarded, I've been playing for quite a while and seen ONE sniper. :S

Sure man, any time. Hopefully someone will bring out a decent competitive mod sometime.

Also, I've found the most fun thing in any game, ever:

1. Pick remote control car bomb as a killstreak reward.
2. Grab 3 easy kills.
3. Hide somewhere secure and away from everyone.
4. Drive the car at a solitary enemy.
5. Chase them across most of the map without detonating so they just keep running while crapping themselves.

Also, going for ridiculous tomahawk kills and finally pulling one off after half an hour is so satisfying.
